Guitar Rock & Blues Foundations – Intermediate Drop-In Class
March 1, 2016 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
This intermediate course is designed for guitarists with a knowledge of open chords, and are beginning to develop some faculty and fluency playing single note lines or simple riffs. Using real examples drawn from the blues and classic rock, students will learn rhythm guitar parts with a mixture of chords and riffs, explore barre chords and other non-open position chords, and learn to play lead guitar parts. The course will also focus on techniques such as hammer-ons and pull-offs, bends, and slides, used in lead guitar playing. Students will practice playing rhythm and lead guitar together, as well as alternating between both roles. By the end of the class, students will have the necessary skills to play in a group, and take on more challenging music. Taught by: Toronto Guitar School Instructor Scott Neary hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
