Anders Azzopardi is a Toronto-based trombonist, composer and educator. He is thrilled to be involved once again with The University of Toronto after having received his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance from the University of Toronto in 2011.
Anders is an active member of Toronto’s music scene performing his own compositions and collaborating with others for large ensemble music, community and private events. Anders’ theatre composition credits include: Terra Incognita (Terra Incognita Collective, 2016); There is No Word for Wilderness (TRCA & Evergreen Brick Works, 2018) and Finding Home (Animacy Theatre Collective, 2022) which was just nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Best Musical Score. Anders’ recent accomplishments include arranging and orchestrating works with Barbra Lica for their 2022 tour of her original music with a 16 piece orchestra.
