Ben Foran is a 31 year old Canadian born Juno award winning session guitarist, producer, songwriter & recording engineer from Toronto. Ben grew up with music around the house and after being inspired by his great uncle took up the guitar at the early age of 10.
He went on to study guitar and classical cello and was accepted into Etobicoke School of the Arts majoring in cello and playing guitar in the various school bands. His passion led him to study Jazz and Contemporary Music at Berklee College of Music in Boston and Humber College of Music from which he received his BA in Music Performance. Ben has gone on to be a highly in demand session musician and has credits on the recordings of Camilla Cabello, Daniel Caesar, Sean Leon, renforshort, Allan Rayman, Tanika Charles, Yoko Gold & many others. He has toured extensively across North America, Europe, Asia and Africa with Canadian and International Artists.
In recent years Ben has shifted his focus to the world of recording and has developed a strong reputation as an up and coming producer, song-writer & engineer. He has been hired as a consultant and built a number of professional recording studios across Ontario. In 2021 he opened his own production / mixing / mastering company Foran Sound that operates out of a commercial studio in Etobicoke. Ben is constantly improving his skill sets while adapting to this ever changing industry. He continues to develop his skills as a guitarist, while recording and writing for himself and others. Ben will be releasing his first solo project in 2024.
