Aylin Pouyan is a passionate and knowledgeable violin and piano instructor with over ten years of combined performance and teaching experience. Her musical journey began at the age of five, and she has since cultivated a comprehensive background in violin, piano, music theory, history, and harmony through rigorous training at several esteemed private institutions in Tehran.
Aylin specializes in preparing students for the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) examinations, teaching violin up to Level 10 and piano up to Level 7. Her teaching approach is both structured and adaptable, tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each student—whether they are pursuing formal certification or simply exploring music for personal enjoyment.
Her extensive performance background as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player plays a key role in shaping her teaching philosophy. In Tehran, Aylin trained under leading musicians, performed in respected ensembles, and earned first-place honors in several national and provincial classical music competitions. These experiences have sharpened her artistic insight and deepened her understanding of the skills and mindset students need to succeed in performance and beyond.
Aylin began teaching at the age of 13 as an assistant to her mentor and quickly discovered her passion for guiding young musicians. Her lessons emphasize strong technical development while fostering expressive, creative artistry. She integrates theory, ear training, musicality, and performance skills into a cohesive learning experience designed to support long-term growth.
She works especially well with curious, committed students who are eager to improve. Many of her students have received top marks in RCM exams and have performed with confidence in recitals and auditions. Above all, Aylin is dedicated to nurturing musicianship that is both technically sound and emotionally fulfilling—making music a meaningful and empowering part of her students’ lives.
