Our Classical Guitar, 10 Class Course demystifies the Classical Guitar and is an intro for Beginners

The classical guitar (sometimes known as the Spanish guitar) is a style of guitar playing that has endless possibilities!

Despite what many believe, nearly ANYONE can learn this complex, beautiful, and versatile form of expression on the guitar, and this course will introduce you to some of the techniques and sounds involved in this challenging form of music, and why it will benefit you and/or your child as a guitarist and overall musician. This course will be presented by Daniel Ramjattan, an award-winning teacher here at the Toronto Guitar School, and doctoral candidate at the University of Toronto in the DMA Guitar Performance Program, where he also coaches undergraduates in the Bachelor of Music Performance program.

In this workshop, you will learn how to:

-hold the guitar

-play a simple melody with two voices -listens to excerpts of the various techniques and sounds employed in classical guitar music

There will be a brief question and answer period afterward.

Requirements:

No prior knowledge of the guitar is necessary just a willingness to have fun and make some new friends! If you do not own a guitar do not worry, we have acoustic guitars available for both rental and purchase.
