This course will expand your Ukulele song repertoire of timeless festive favorites just in time for the holidays. This 4 class ukulele series is suitable for beginner and intermediate levels. Classes run every Thursday at 7:00 pm from Dec 1st onwards at the Toronto Guitar School’s Yonge and Dundas street location and will be full of playing, singing and exploring the joy and versatility of the ukulele.

If you don’t already have a ukulele yet that is not a problem. Ukuleles will be available for sale or purchase at every class. Please let us know ahead of time if you plan to buy or rent a Ukulele and be sure to arrive 10 minutes prior to the class so we can have everything ready for you.
Some of the songs covered will include:

Hallelujah, White Christmas, O Hanukkah, Happy New Year, Wonderful World, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, I’ll Be Home For Christmas, Auld Lang Syne (The New Year’s Anthem), Frosty the Snowman, Feliz Navidad, Winter Wonderland, Here Comes Santa Claus, Stand By Me, Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, Jingle Bells and others.

This Course will be led by Toronto Guitar School instructor:
Glen Alan

A graduate of the Humber College Jazz Vocal program, Glen Alan has performed in venues in Canada, the US and Europe. Glen has his Grade 8 Piano Certification with honours from the Royal Conservatory and also plays the guitar and ukulele. He began playing the ukulele in his father’s ukulele band when he was 9 years old. Glen Alan is also a prolific songwriter who has performed and recorded his original songs for over 20 years. Some of the people Glen has worked with include Don Ross, Keifer Sutherland, David “Soulfingaz” Williams, Jackie Richardson, Wendell Ferguson, Brian Dickenson, Natalie McMaster, Mark Dubois, Lenny Soloman, Steven T Hunter, Tim Bovaconti, Paul Delong, Suba Sankaran and Dylan Bell.
In 1996 Glen founded Mint Music (formerly know as Find A Way) and the Toronto Guitar School in 2014. As a passionate educator and musician Glen Alan has been involved in the Toronto scene for over 20 years. As a voice, piano, ukulele and guitar teacher Glen has helped thousands of individuals from children to adults sing and play more effectively. Glen brings a wealth of over 20 years teaching experience, passion and fun to every class he instructs.

COURSE COST

The cost of this course is $60 if you pre-pay in advance through e-transfer (info@torontoguitarschool.com). Payment must be receive in full before the start date to receive the discounted rate otherwise the regular class rate of $80 applies. Unfortunately at the present time paypal is not accepted. Payments can also be made in person at the Toronto Guitar School/Mint Music’s Yonge and Dundas location (116 Bond Street) by appointment only. Cheque, VISA, debit or cash are the accepted methods of payment at this location.
