Marcello FioriniDrums and Guitar

Marcello Fiorini is a Toronto-based drummer, guitarist, and educator. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from York University and is active in the Toronto music scene as a freelance performer. Marcello began his career studying jazz at York University, where he trained with esteemed musicians including Kelly Jefferson, Al Henderson, Mark Eisenman, and others. He has performed a wide range of musical styles, including jazz, hip hop, and rock, and is passionate about teaching across genres to engage students with music that resonates most with them.

Marcello draws inspiration from innovative drummers who explore the limitless possibilities of rhythm, including Danny Carey, Neil Peart, Brian Blade, Jon Theodore, as well as jazz legends Tony Williams, Art Blakey, and Elvin Jones. From virtuosic solos to deep pocket grooves, he appreciates the many elements of drumming that elevate an ensemble’s sound. His teaching approach focuses on developing these skills through structured, goal-oriented practice tailored to each individual student.

In addition to drums, Marcello teaches guitar and piano to students of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Influenced by blues, metal, and classical composers such as Beethoven and Chopin, his lessons emphasize strong technical foundations, musical understanding, and performance readiness. He believes that learning music is a deeply expressive and rewarding pursuit, and he is committed to guiding students as they explore and develop their musical potential.
