David grew up in Trinidad & Tobago, where he fell in love with music, and eventually moved to Toronto to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Music at Humber College.
He has been teaching drums to beginner, intermediate, and advanced students for over 20 years. His approach is simple: break things down into clear, manageable steps so students feel real progress – not just during lessons, but every time they sit down to practice on their own.
He is also has an active performing career, playing alongside accomplished artists across Canada and the Caribbean. When David is not teaching or playing, you’ll find him watching sports, playing chess, or catching a good movie.
