Mark Ritter is a Toronto based guitarist, teacher and composer. He is a graduate of Humber College where he obtained a Bachelor of Music, majoring in guitar. Mark also holds an ARCT in guitar performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music. With over 10 years of experience teaching privately, Mark believes that learning music should be a multifaceted, organic process that includes components of technique, theory, composition, ear training and improvisation.
“I believe that musical growth and development should stem from both enthusiasm and an immersion in music and the music making process. This is what I strive to help my students cultivate within their own relationship with music.”
Mark is currently performing with several groups where he continues to lead, collaborate and work as a side-musician on various musical projects in a wide range of genres in the Toronto area.
