Sol Younan performs regularly as a soloist and accompanist with singers and other instrumentalists in the greater Toronto area.
Along with his work as a performer, Sol is an experienced and compassionate teacher whose philosophy revolves around the idea that the best music is the music that you want to play. Sol emphasizes experimentation and ear-training as well as a solid technical foundation to help you reach your musical goals with ease. From Classical, Rock and Jazz, to Hindi and K-Pop, Sol’s experience with highly varied styles allows him to help arrange and adapt the guitar to fit you!
As a firm believer in Music education for everyone, he has coordinated music education programs for students with special needs and has worked closely with The Easter Seals Society and the MukiBaum Foundation. A native of Windsor, Ontario, he has done undergraduate work at University of Windsor and York University. Sol also holds an A.R.C.T Diploma in Guitar Pedagogy from the Royal Conservatory of Music, where he studied with one of Canada’s leading guitarists and composers, William Beauvais.
